Embodied Reasoning for Robotics
A three-level stack that separates planning, piloting, and reflex so that robots strategize clearly, move decisively, and stay stable.
Systems
System 2 — Planner
Transforms goals and context into embodied, feasible strategies.
Inputs: goals, scene graphs, multimodal context, constraints. Outputs: structured plans and sub-goals. Latency: 200 ms–10 s. KPIs: task success, plan optimality, explanations, zero safety violations.
System 1 — Pilot
Fast intelligence that steers the robot in real time.
Inputs: local state, short-horizon predictions, affordances. Outputs: trajectories & impedance targets. Latency: 10–100 ms. KPIs: intercept accuracy, smoothness, robustness.
System 0 — Reflex
Millisecond reflexes that stabilize posture and enforce safety.
Inputs: IMU, encoders, F/T, tactile. Outputs: motor commands & reflex events. Latency: 1–5 ms. KPIs: zero falls, thermal/power within limits, joint tracking error, uptime.
Why Adaptobotics?
Safety
Explicit interfaces and guarantees in each tier reduce systemic risk.
Latency Tiers
1–5 ms (Reflex), 10–100 ms (Pilot), 200 ms–10 s (Planner).
Modularity
Swap policies, controllers, and reflexes independently with stable schemas.
